Overview

ECOSOUL makes plant-based herbal tinctures from natural ingredients and sells them directly to customers across Serbia. Eight products, a small team, and a store that had been running on a legacy platform that was starting to crack. Checkout issues, no analytics, no email marketing setup, and a codebase the client couldn’t maintain on their own. The business was growing but the infrastructure wasn’t keeping up.

My role covered web design and full WordPress development. Brand identity and product photography were already sorted. Everything else was mine to build.

The Problem

The old platform wasn’t just outdated, it was actively working against the business. The payment flow had reliability issues, there was no way to run email campaigns, and the client had zero visibility into where their customers were coming from or what was converting. For an e-commerce store trying to grow, that’s a real problem.

What I Built

E-Commerce Store

Built on WooCommerce with a full product catalog, cart, user accounts and a free shipping promotion for orders of three or more items. Product pages are clean and focused: imagery, description, price and a direct path to purchase. No distractions.

Payment Integration

Card payments run through a Raiffeisen Bank gateway with support for Visa, Mastercard and Dina Card, plus Visa Secure and Mastercard ID Check for 3D Secure authentication. Serbian banking requirements are specific, and getting this right inside the WooCommerce checkout flow took careful configuration beyond the standard plugin setup. Payments had to just work, reliably, from day one.

Mailchimp

Connected Mailchimp with automated list syncing so every customer who places an order lands directly on the client’s mailing list. Signup forms are in place and the client runs campaigns on their own, no developer needed.

Analytics and SEO

Google Analytics and Google Search Console are both connected. The business is registered on Google Business Profile for local search visibility. The client now has a real picture of traffic sources, conversions and search performance.
